These hardtail bikes using 3.0” tyres allow the rider to attack terrain which would normally pose a problem on regular sized mountain bike tyres. The increased weight of the wheels with wide rims and 3.0” tyres is counteracted well with the added traction, comfort and stability they provide.

The Sphere platform uses a sizing system of extra small and small bike sizes with 27.5 x 3.0” tyres, whereas the medium, large and extra large bike sizes use 29 x 3.0” tyres. Sphere 1 is more performance driven, with shorter chainstay and high end tubing, while the Sphere 2 has slightly more stable geometry for increased traction and balance for entry level riders.
